چکیده
Sir, Primary sinonasal mucosal melanomas are uncommon, aggressive tumours. Similar to other malignancies, nasal melanomas frequently metastasize to the lymph nodes, lungs, liver and bone. However, skin metastases are very rare (1). We report here a patient with amelanotic melanoma originating from the sinonasal mucosa who rapidly developed multiple skin metastases and the diagnosis was confirmed by a skin biopsy.

Gadolinium-enhanced imaging was performed in seven cases. The MR images were compared with histopathologic results. There were seven melanotic melanomas and five amelanot...

Amelanotic melanoma is a variant of malignant melanoma comprising 2% to 8% of all malignant melanomas. The amelanotic presentation of melanoma in the oral cavity is extremely rare and has been reported only occasionally in the literature. Moreover, the lack of melanin makes these tumors difficult to diagnose than that of pigmented lesions and the prognosis tends to be poorer. Herein, we report ...
